You must be logged in to your Indeed account when you apply for our system to automatically put the job in the Applied Jobs tab.

If you were not logged in at the time, or if you were brought to the employer’s site to apply, then the job listing would not automatically save..

When you upload a resume to your Indeed profile, you have a choice of two settings, “Public” and “Private.” The “Public” setting allows your resume to be searchable by employers and recruiters using Indeed, but personal contact information is not displayed unless you actually apply for a job through Indeed.

Yes, Indeed sends your info to employers. Any decent company should have some kind of talent acquisition software that prospects go into that gets fed from all sources (indeed, their website, etc.) so it may make no difference how you submit your resume.
